I am developing the Coach Nabil Athlete Development Grade (ADG) to organize physical progress and the next training priorities. The working scale runs from 1.0 to 4.0 across five domains.
ADG is a working pilot framework. It has not yet been scientifically validated. Tests, standards, scoring thresholds, weighting, and considerations for age, sex, growth, and development still require evidence review and validation.
I use the profile to guide development and discuss progress from the athlete’s own baseline.
Assess → Plan → Train → Mentor → Track → Communicate → Reassess → Progress
MOVE
Mobility, stability, balance, coordination, and movement competency.
BUILD
Strength, trunk control, and muscular capacity.
EXPRESS
Power, acceleration, speed, and reactive ability.
CONTROL
Landing, deceleration, change of direction, and body control.
SUSTAIN
Work capacity, conditioning, recovery, and readiness.
4.0 Advanced
3.0 Proficient
2.0 Developing
1.0 Foundation
N/A means not assessed or not appropriate to assess.
These labels refer to proposed developmental standards within the pilot. The working overall ADG averages MOVE, BUILD, EXPRESS, CONTROL, and SUSTAIN. Equal weighting is a starting assumption.
Example only. This is not a client result.
MOVE 3.4 · BUILD 2.8 · EXPRESS 3.1 · CONTROL 3.5 · SUSTAIN 3.2
Working overall ADG: 3.2 out of 4.0
A useful report also describes the athlete’s baseline, changes observed, current training priorities, recovery focus, home practice, and the next reassessment. A number alone is not the plan.
The proposed Coach Nabil Preparation Score runs from 0 to 100 percent. It records agreed preparation behaviors such as attendance, punctuality, home practice, recovery work, weekly updates, mentorship participation, and goal completion.
The Preparation Score does not change ADG. Neither score measures faith, character, morality, integrity, identity, spiritual maturity, or personal worth. I support those conversations through mentorship, reflection, goals, and narrative observations.
