BY COACH NABIL · MY JOURNEY
I’m Coach Nabil. My journey began in Bamako, Mali. Basketball led me through Thailand, New Zealand, and the United States. Each place became part of my education as an athlete and as a person.
Along the way, mentors opened doors, unfamiliar environments challenged me, and preparation mattered. My path through collegiate basketball and exercise science helped shape the work I do today. I carry those experiences into every conversation with an athlete and every partnership with a parent.
I develop the athlete underneath the sport. That means helping young people build a physical foundation while learning how to prepare, stay consistent, respond to challenges, and take responsibility for their growth.
My mission is simple: Fortifying God-given potential through evidence-based performance training. My faith shapes the purpose behind that work. I want the athletes I coach to understand that their potential deserves care, effort, and direction.
I prepare athletes for the game they play by preparing them for the game of life.
This Journal is a place for the stories and lessons behind my coaching. I’ll write about athlete development, parent partnership, my life, and faith and purpose. I’m also working on a book about my journey, and I’ll share selected reflections here as it develops.
I’m starting with an introduction because I want you to know the person behind the name. Whether you’re an athlete, a parent, or someone following your own path, I hope you find something here that encourages your next step.
