About Coach Nabil

Coach Nabil portrait

Athlete. Educator. Performance coach.

I am Coach Nabil. I coach youth athletes across all sports and active adults in Chicago and the North Shore. My private practice combines exercise science, personal coaching and the perspective of an athlete who has trained and competed across cultures.

Education that informs my coaching

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sciences at North Park University in May 2026. My studies included biomechanics, exercise physiology, musculoskeletal anatomy, evidence based practice, statistics, nutrition and exercise programming. I also completed coursework in elementary education at Trinity International University.

Experience on and beyond the court

I represented Mali at the U14 level, participated in the NBA and FIBA Basketball Without Borders development camp, and played collegiate basketball at Trinity International University and North Park University. Academic and athletic opportunities took me to Traill International School in Thailand and Rotorua Boys’ High School in New Zealand before the United States.

Living and learning in Mali, Thailand, New Zealand and the United States taught me to listen, adapt and connect with people from different backgrounds. I coach in English and French.

Teaching, coaching and serving people

My experience includes adult fitness coaching at Midtown Athletic Club, youth basketball coaching with North Shore Stars and Finish Strong Athletics, athletic coaching at Tamarack Day Camp, and student mentorship as a resident assistant at Trinity International University. I also supported rehabilitation operations and supervised exercise under clinical direction at Athletico Physical Therapy.

I bring these experiences to individualized strength and conditioning, clear movement instruction, parent partnership and a practical plan for progress. My athletic background helps me understand the demands of competition. My education helps me explain the purpose behind the work.

Coaching with purpose

My mission is fortifying God-given potential through evidence-based performance training. I prepare athletes for the game they play by preparing them for the game of life.

I coach movement first, progress training deliberately, and make room for mentorship, responsibility, resilience, and leadership. Parent partnership helps connect the work in training with the athlete's life outside it.
